THEATRICAL COOPERATION BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF KOSOVA AND THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA

With the initiative of the National Theatre of Kosova and the National Theatre of the Republic of Albania, in June 2023 an agreement for theatre cooperation was signed between the Ministers of Culture of the two countries.

The agreement creates a good and missing platform for the opening of opportunities for cooperation between theaters and artists from both countries, including co-productions, exchanges of productions, the internationalization of Albanian theater in general and the exchange of experiences.

The agreement in question has started to be implemented in certain segments and is in the final phase of the realization of the joint theater fund between the two countries.

Under the leadership of two directors of national theatre, in Prishtina and Tirana. Mr. Kushtrim Sheremeti and Mr. Altin Basha and with the participation of representatives of the Ministries of Culture from both countries, “Prizren Fest” organizes a one-day conference with representatives of theatres from Kosova and Albania where the opportunities that this agreement and this fund give in the future as well as the importance that this platform has it.
