About the show:

“The child” is one of the international projects of Shieveh Theatre company, inspired by social and real-world issues, mainly related to the immigration of vulnerable people, those agonized by war and poverty, a problem with which the world has been struggling from way back. The play approaches this subject through depicting the suffered women and children from middle east and Africa who take shelter to America and Europe. It intends to pass on the message of peace and equity of all people on earth.

A tragic play, “The Child”, is the story of a child who was found together with three immigrant women; none of them confessed to being the child’s mother.

Three women together with a new-born baby are detained in the coast of a western country (in Europe). They are illegal immigrants who have reached the western coast passing through a port in the eastern Europe with the help of people smugglers and they demand to be accepted as immigrants.
